Dual Awareness
Can we be present with our own internal experience and with our clients at the same time?
Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher Diane Liska (she/her) says we can!
In this video episode, Diane shares the importance of dual awareness in the therapeutic relationship and shares a nifty exercise with a yoga block and a little ball to help us cultivate it and be curious of what happens when we do.
Diane is a Registered Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher based in Canada who blends neuroscience, yoga, somatics, and the therapeutic relationship to offer Yoga-Informed Psychotherapy. She specializes in serving individuals healing from complex, developmental, and sexual trauma from an attachment-focused lens. Authentic connection is her guiding principle.
Diane will also be joining us for the next Mental Health and Yoga Summit, starting on the 29th of August 2022, talking about how she integrates yoga into her psychotherapy practice.
The Summit is for Yoga Teachers who are interested in mental health and Mental Health professionals who are interested in yoga, and we do hope you can join us.

Hi, I'm Dr Lauren Tober!
As a Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Teacher of nearly two decades and the author of Mental Health Aware Yoga: A Guide for Yoga Teachers, I'm passionate about integrating yoga and psychology on the mat, in the counselling room and in the world.
With the growing interest in mental health and yoga, yoga students are attending yoga classes for the mental health benefits in unprecedented numbers.
In fact, 79.4% of yoga students report practicing yoga for the mental health benefits.
It's important that Yoga Teachers know how to support them.
I'm glad you're here.
