Pranayama for Mental Health
The simple practices are often the most effective.
Join Dr Lauren Tober and Heather Mason, as Heather shares one of her favourite pranayama practices for mental health.
Heather (she/her) is the founder of The Minded Institute, an internationally renowned yoga therapy training school, and also the Yoga in Health Care Alliance. She holds master’s degrees in Buddhist Studies, in Psychotherapy, Medical Physiology, and has extensive training in Neuroscience.
Heather is actively focused on the integration of yoga into the UK’s National Health Service and in 2018 helped to create an All Party Parliamentary Group, “Yoga in Society.” She co-edited one of the books we recommend in the Mental Health Aware Yoga training, “Yoga and Mental Health” and her new co-written book “Yoga on Prescription” will be available soon.
Heather will be joining us for the next Mental Health and Yoga Summit, starting on the 29th of August 2022, talking more about bringing yoga into health care.
The Summit is for Yoga Teachers who are interested in mental health and Mental Health professionals who are interested in yoga, and we do hope you can join us.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Dr Lauren Tober!
As a Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Teacher of nearly two decades and the author of Mental Health Aware Yoga: A Guide for Yoga Teachers, I'm passionate about integrating yoga and psychology on the mat, in the counselling room and in the world.
With the growing interest in mental health and yoga, yoga students are attending yoga classes for the mental health benefits in unprecedented numbers.
In fact, 79.4% of yoga students report practicing yoga for the mental health benefits.
It's important that Yoga Teachers know how to support them.
I'm glad you're here.
