On Midlife Burnout and Recovery with Leila Stuart
With so much information at our fingertips these days, you would think that we would know a thing or two about self-care. But so many women I know are experiencing burnout in midlife.
When I shared my own experience about coming a little too close to burnout for comfort last year, Leila Stuart reached out to me and shared about her own experience with burnout, chronic fatigue and recovery. So of course I invited her to come and share her wisdom with us all on the podcast!
Leila is a clinical massage therapist, yoga teacher and yoga therapist, and as the co-author of the book Pathways to a Centered Body with Donna Farhi, and the author of a new book Experiential Anatomy: Therapeutic Applications of Embodied Movement and Awareness, she is really a pioneer in the field of embodied movement education.
Listen in to this enlightening episode to hear Leila share about her personal experience of burnout in her 40s, an experience that took her around 15 years to recover from, and also about the big mindset shift that made all the difference in her healing journey. She also shares some hard-won recommendations for identifying and recovering from burnout, that you really don’t want to miss!
